Who is afraid of spiders?

Check out this spider that was outside our bedroom window. CREEPY!!

I agree with what a friend once said about spiders: "nothing on this planet is more alien. I mean you tell me, what else has to have 8 legs and 8 eyes just to function?"

BUT having said that, I had a writing spider like that once here at my house and I was fascinated with her. I let her live and my kids named her Charlotte (of course, what else, since Charlotte was a writing spider) and was okay with her. And I don't mind the Orb Weavers who make the giant webs more similar to Spiderman. All the rest die an unpleasant death around here.

It's a common garden spider, nothing to be afraid of! They get pretty big, and they are actually quite beautiful IMHO.

By the way, Lewis, if you want to see aliens on Earth, just look up Flower Mantis.

The most alien animal to me would have to me The Lyre bird. It look like a normal bird, but it can mimic almost any sound it hears....tons of bird call but also, Camera shots, hammers, drilling, car alarm, and a chainsaw. It's trying to bend in and take over is what I say
