Pocket Books is to start a new mini-series of Trek novels based on the Romulan War. These novels are set during the era of Captain Archer and the NX-01. These novels will detail the fight between the Coalition of Planets (forerunner to the UFP) and the Romulan Star Empire. The outcome of these novels will help to set the stage for both the Roddenberry-verse and the Abrams-verse. The first novel in this mini-series is to be released OCT. 20, 2009.
