J. Michael Straczynski's Shattered Union - The Film

J. Michael Straczynski - creator of Babylon 5 and World War Z screenplay writer will be writing script for a movie based on Shattered Union. This movie is based on a game from 2000. It involves a future American civil war after Washington DC is vaporized. Sort of like the TV series Jericho only much, MUCH better. Bigger scale. JMS is teaming up with Jerry Bruckheimer on this movie. JMS has worked in this particular sub-genre before. His adaptation of Jeremiah comes to mind. Seems the idea of Red State versus Blue State is given a higher dynamic with the loss of DC. The so-called 'culture war' is given all new meaning and deadly consequences for the Disunited States of America.
